I'd just get this bench. It's $75 and will suit you for a while until you figure out if you want something different and/or give up.

Even if you use it for a few months, I don't see an issue with this fetching $50 on marketplace. So risk is low.

Otherwise, the experts will want you to spend $600+ on a rogue bench.

Also, this would be easy enough to return to Walmart if you get it and hate it.
I've been buying "entry level" workout gear for over 20 years and still have most of it. Almost nothing demanded an upgrade unless you're in that top 1-5% of lifters. I've added to it, but older stuff usually finds another use.

Tempting. I'm currently doing incline BP by propping a flat bench up on a small plyo box.

Yes, I'm gonna die, thanks for mentioning it!
This. It's January and a lot of people are probably starting a fitness routine. Wait a few weeks until they give up on it and scoop up whatever they bought for half price.

Good for the price but if your serious about working out "buy once, cry once" you'll be wanting to upgrade for better features or quality

I got this bench back in May for $85. It's good not great, but suits my home gym needs. It's sort of a pain to move around with no wheels on it, but it's not too heavy. My seat does seem to lean to one side because of how the pin adjustment system works. Hard to explain and it's not a big deal once you sit on it with weight. The curved legs at the bench sometimes get in my way but again, no big deal.

Mine arrived with a tear on the back of the bench. Walmart didn't have any stock so I could return it or go through the company. I went through the company, and they told me it was a discontinued product and they couldn't send me a replacement bench.

I would say this is a good starter bench for most people and if you spend time assembling it, it's pretty sturdy. The price is definitely right. But if you're looking to buy one bench for the rest of your life this probably ain't it.

I just picked up a 1200lb bench (Temu), olympic bar (Walmart), 400lbs in weights (Walmart) and a 1500 lb Mikolo K3 Power Cage (Temu) for $625 bucks all in.

Can you do decline bench with this with the padded leg holders used to hold your legs allowing you to do a situp to bring your weights back up?

FTFY. This is heavily dependent on your local marketplace. If you live in a desert of cheapness like I do- think old dudes that insist "I know what I got" as their 'vintage' 1 inch cement plates collect cobwebs in their basement at $1 / lb next to their high school football trophies, at least one treadmill and exercise bike, and the last shred of their dignity. Of course all the above can be yours for $1,500, first come, first served, no holds.

#1 Good bench has to be heavy so they can't move or tip over while using them
