There's a reason that everything MagSafe typically says frequently returned. Most of the public still cannot understand that you have to use a MagSafe case for MagSafe charging. I guarantee if you look at these reviews, many of them will say that the magnets are weak. That's because they're not using a MagSafe case.

Non Apple Watch wearable market is super fragmented, which makes it much less attractive to accessory manufacturers. Apple Watches have been out for a long time and there are tons of people who have them. So, stronger demand for accessories, driving more competition, driving more deals like this.

Same can be said for Apple phone case deals and other non Apple accessories (and even OEM Apple accessories once in a while).

Source: used to be an android enthusiast / pixel device and watch owner. Now having an iPhone and Apple Watch, I'll tell you the biggest difference after superior ecosystem and app quality is the accessory market. Just walk in to Best Buy and take note of the shelf space dedicated to phone cases and other accessories. It's a very visible example of what I've experienced and describe above.

Agree, though I bought 4 MagSafe chargers this holiday season and 1 fails to work. I'm replacing with the exact same though. Of all the Anker products I've bought I never had to return a single one. Still worth a shot for my wife's bday.

None. It'll work fine for other phones and earbuds. The Apple Watch charger is the only piece that is proprietary.

Personally, I don't buy anything power/charging related anymore unless it's Anker. Too many of these other fly-by-night shops offer cheaper prices, then they're gone the next day. Kicked off Amazon for fake reviews or some other nonsense, and then you have no recourse when your super-cheap charger catches fire.

why there is never a deal for non-apple watch chargers...I thought apple charges for its certifications which makes every accessory costly... but I am tired of not able to get a decent wireless charger for galaxy or other brand watches.
