40lb special kitty is about the same price at Walmart all day and is just as good if not better.

This is hardly a deal imo unless you absolutely demand this brand.

I realized that if you just make multiple orders you can keep getting the S & S discount. If you order 2 on the same order you only get the 5% off on one of them.
Everyone may already know this and I am just late to the party but just in case anyone doesn't. If you order 4 of them. Order 1 bag 4 times.

Got a few bags last time this went on sale. Feel like the quality has gone down the drain. Will not clump like it used to, much more dust and lots of noticeably larger aggregate.

FWIW I've noticed the same issues with Petco store brand litter where it used to be substantially better and less dust. Now I have to use the Petco refill station and sift it in the store so I don't bring it all home with me.

It's so cheap, I use it in place of Oil-Dri as well.

Might also be helpful for RWD trucks in the snow -- both as ballast and for traction if stuck.

Also, with 3 cats there's also the whole poop and pee thing.

urine smell is neutralized by the pine. doesnt smell like awful clay litter. works great using it for last 10 years

I try this on my litter robot 4 and it is not recommended. It doesn't absorb and it doesn't cover the smell of urine. Clumping is ok, but it gets sticky and stains the liner. Worse is my cat preferred not to used the litter box instead urinated outside.

We switched to this litter about 18 months ago for a cat with the stinkiest poop ever. This is much much better than the big name brands at the grocery store at managing that smell. I haven't noticed an increase in dust, seems like the same stuff to me.

Special kitty is the best deal on cat litter. We have 7 cats with 2 litter robots and 2 large boxes. I think it's the best bang for your buck and the quality isn't bad either.

Yeah I love special kitty for my 2 cats, always around $13 for 40lbs and works great, little dusty but clumps great.
