A friendly reminder that this game was developed by a different dev than the one who made the original DKR. They didn't even get any credit for this game.

This game was developed by Forever Entertainment, a seemingly pretty crappy port house. But it is merely and HD version of the original game. I think the game's title makes that clear enough, no?

Obligatory "Woot disclaimer" that is likely the SEA/UAE version of the game. Will play fine but if you plan to resell/trade in, especially to a retailer, it's likely to be denied.

So I ordered this at work today thinking that because it was shipped by Amazon it would be here in a couple days, I just looked and it won't be here until after the first of next month. my fault for not looking at that, but was able to cancel.

Resell it on FB Marketplace or Craigslist

Nintendo sucks. Metroid Prime Remastered is an amazing remaster and only costs $40. This and Luigi's Mansion 2 are pathetic cash grab remasters and both cost more than the original versions did. This company makes no sense.

From IGN: "The absence of any updates to these stumbling points highlights just how barebones Returns HD is as a remaster. This really is just a combination of the Wii and 3DS versions of Returns with a new coat of paint, and nothing more. It's a competent update, but it's nowhere near the level of something like Metroid Prime Remastered – the other Retro Studios game that got a shiny updated release on Switch. It certainly doesn't look bad, and it almost always runs at a smooth 60 frames per second, but even Tropical Freeze's 2018 Switch port looks noticeably nicer."

Impossible to justify paying remotely premium bucks for this. The game was great, but the price needs to come down considerably.

I got it for "free" on my OG hacked Switch and I wouldn't even say it was worth that price. Wait for $30 someday if you really want to play it.

Playing right now on my 3ds and nintendo wants $60 for some texture and slight frame rate upgrades lol. Wow gaming is not in a good standing and this is why its going to be a Subscription wars.

These companies are tapped out when it comes to ambition and creativity I'm so happy I grew up in the golden age of gaming and can go back to the classics.

Received my copy and it was the USA version. Price can't be beat for a new release.
