"During the early to mid-20th century, American chestnut trees were devastated by chestnut blight, a fungal disease that came from Japanese chestnut trees that were introduced into North America from Japan. It is estimated that the blight killed between three and four billion American chestnut trees in the first half of the 20th century, beginning in 1904. Few mature American chestnuts exist within its former range, although many stumps and root systems continue to send up saplings. Most of these saplings get infected by chestnut blight, which girdles and kills them before they attain maturity. There are hundreds of large (2 to 5 ft (0.6 to 1.5 m) in diameter) American chestnuts outside its historical range, some in areas where less virulent strains of the pathogen are more common, such as the 600 to 800 large trees in Northern Michigan. The species is listed as endangered in Canada under the Species at Risk Act. American chestnuts are also susceptible to ink disease, particularly in the southern part of its native range; this likely contributed to the devastation of the species." - Wikipedia

These are not 100% wool. Should be perfectly fine to hand clean with mild detergent and hang dry.

Google lens pointed to several Etsy links with similar (not identical beds). It looks like these are hand made, rustic, reclaimed wood type beds. You likely won't find exactly the same bed. These aren't mass-produced beds and are likely going to be pricey and heavy.

The queen size in one of those links is selling for $3k.

Reclaimed wood? I bet they are using pallet wood for the slats, headboard, and footboard.

You can find similar at Rustic Furniture. I bought a similar model that they don't carry any more. It's solidly made.

It looks like the bed is made by Old Hickory (https://www.oldhickory.com/produc...bed-ot313m) and used to be available from Cabela's (https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/o...-100265321) (see image below). Now it is sold by LodgeCraft (https://www.oldhickoryfurniture.c...t313m.html). As pgharibi stated, being handmade, you likely won't find exactly the same bed.

Was in for 1, but canceled after seeing the spot clean or dry clean only. My wife kindly reminded me of our pup that sleeps on the bed and that I would be the one handwashing or bringing it to the dry cleaners

Anyone know why these say spot clean where other ones I've seen say washing machine is fine?
