This would have been a great deal for the Opal 2.0.

Have had one of these for a few years, makes a grinding noise when you take ice, close it and it starts making more. Otherwise it's been fine.

It's about a 1/4" diameter pellet. Length varies between 1/4" and 1"

It spits out sonic sized ice. Small, chewable, soft.

My wife and I got the 2.0 version of this on a whim during COVID and loved it as long as it worked, but my god did it stop working. We used it daily on a schedule, cleaning it weekly, and doing a full descale regularly, while also using a filter and the damn thing still stopped working about three months in. Sent it in, got a replacement, and THAT one went out a month or two later, outside of the replacement period for a warranty return, so we spent like $500 for a damn thing that worked for five-ish months.

The good ice is good as hell, but not worth the price of entry considering how quickly this thing has failed on me and, apparently, others.

The Opal 2.0 has a lot more problems than the original version.
