This unit looks like a very capable 18k BTU mini split with 'hyper heat' down to -22F. BTU output is closer to a 24k BTU than 18k BTU in my opinion. This is a rebadge of a Gree Sapphire (to my knowledge) which run closer to ~$2100+ install kit costs. Very efficient unit capable of extreme temp operation. Looking forward to receiving my unit this coming week. R410a refrigerant FYI. Link is for unit w/ 15' install kit. Unit w/ 25' kit is ~$50 more and can be found by swapping the '15' for '25' at the end of the URL.

Did you purchase? Did you install yet? Looking at this same system. Their customer service is the best I have used. Customer service is available 7 days per week and is US based for both chat and phone support.

Yes I purchased & installed it without a problem (not my day job, but I am a mech engineer and watched a lot of youtubeSmilie. Customer service was very prompt with answering a couple questions I had. Install wasn't too crazy, but it was still nerve racking bending the 5/8" lineset lol. Heat has been running some and it does great and is very quiet. It hasn't been stressed much since install though so I can't comment on very low temp performance. Definately happy so far.

Can you share any of the videos you used? What is the difference between the self install kit and the non-version? Besides about $600

Videos: DIY Mini Split Install - All the Things Nobody Shows You (by LRN2DIY) & Full Installation of Mini Split Ductless Unit, Step by Step! (by AC Service Tech LLC) along with random others. As far as the mini split with and without the install kit it shows in the picture basically... with the kit you get comm wires, the (copper) line set for the refrigerant, electrical disconnect box & whip, a plastic wall sleeve, and a couple more small items. Basically, all the hardware to install the mini split yourself. If you don't buy all that you will not be able to install or will have to rely on a contractor to buy it when installing your unit. It DOES NOT include the tools needed to install the unit.
