You have to actually open the deal and READ. Why do people actually still think there is never a caveat to getting something for free?

To OP: Maybe add "with purchase" to the subject line. People voted down my deal posts because of that. Yes, we have a TON of people here who will vote down because they want to know everything in the subject line without having to read further. It really makes me question where the U.S. is headed or has headed. sigh

That's clickbait. Just say free with purchase. Not a big ask and nothing wrong with US.

It is not clickbait if you are not even willing to read the rest of the entry. I disagree. There is nothing according to this website that states you have to put something in a certain format. Copy and paste any kind of guidelines that state that.
For instance, if someone does not put a store in the subject line; but they put it where it is required and it shows up. That suffices. It is preference on the amount of information that people put it in the subject line (if it needs to be modified, the mods have the ability to do so). I only recently discovered that sometimes it does not show up (for laptop users) or this site does not have an entry for that store (restaurant). People are being picky for not very good reasons. That is trolling. Trolling WILL get you in trouble on this site per guidelines.

I ate a free no-caveats Carls Jr. burger a couple days ago because the Rams caught a football. Often I get food for nearly free with a token purchase of a kid's lemonade or something. The reason I might downvote a post like OP's is because putting "with entree" in the title is also...free, so not doing it is an annoying choice to make.

This post seems so subjective and there would be no pleasing you.

"I ate a free no-caveats Carls Jr. burger a couple days ago because the Rams caught a football." That would be an example of a post stating "Free item."

"Often I get food for nearly free with a token purchase of a kid's lemonade or something." But it's not free. People here are not going to cater to your subjective definitions of what YOU think is free. Society works on averages. If it is not free, it is not free. In fact, what you did there was troll.

"The reason I might downvote a post like OP's is because putting "with entree" in the title is also...free, so not doing it is an annoying choice to make."

That is also, trolling. I mean I could see how "with purchase of any entree" is not the same as "with any purchase;" however, one could figure out that it could be synonymous for "with any purchase." Of course, then someone will end up finding a hack in the app to where it works with something less than an entree.

What annoys me (here is my subjectivity that the average individual will support):
People, who downvote, have it easier in getting away with because of the anonymity (just an observation). But if someone were to do that and then explain why, that would be trolling. Someone who does this, in my subjective world, is also seen as selfish because now you downvote someone else's deal because of your own subjectivity (which is agreed upon by the lesser masses) and it may actually have been a good deal. Now someone like me will either miss it because this site defaults to only showing ones that have 0+ likes (unless I spend extra time adjusting the filter to display all ratings). So in the end, are you really helping the community?

I mean you have to see why I would state the above right? Or maybe some people (even you) cannot see just how off what you stated was? I cannot really blame you as an individual because I am not one to write something negative about someone, but it really depends on how one was raised and who they are. You basically had written to me and everyone else on here, who you are (which I guess should be given credit. It is not easy to go against the grain, even if it is a unique take on something.) Would I, if I were you, be proud of it? Absolutely not.
