Yes, they got me good this year. Got antsy with the 1099's having to go out by 1/31 so I paid $30 more for the Business version from Costco. Sent them a price adjustment request.
Edit: The links are going on and off from working to their Sorry webpage with a pic of a dog. Of course the federal only works now, after I ordered federal with state, I live in Florida and didn't need state. If it's not being flaky for other SDers great, it was for me.
It's the same price at $45
So if your no-rush reward credits are more than $10 and you have no other use for them, then it'd make sense to ditch the gift card and use the credits on the standalone product offer.

Anyway, since Amazon is clearly a price follower, makes me wonder who they were copying all those years we got this deal right after Christmas, since this year, they're just trying to match the Costco deal.
At least Amazon has telephone customer service. Have you ever tried to deal with Google's customer service. That is a real joke. There is no way to actually talk to a human either by telephone or chat so anything takes multiple days and multiple back and forth emails - also with offshore low wage labor. That is one way Google (and Amazon) stay so profitable.
