$1979.99 without a referral code or chat discount from Samsung right now if you have access to any of the discount programs and not checking any cash back sites either. Just an FYI OP why this probably won't get the love you're hoping for.

i was going to pull trigger on ed edu site, but i asked if they could guarantee which panel type i'd get on the 77, and they said no. so still considering.

Because that's what it is for the North American market.

I ordered one direct from Samsung.

Woled panels don't exist for the 55 65 or 77 in the US market

I'm reading that many customers are having issues with their TVs failing after a few months. Have you seen the same?

Yes, but keep in mind people that have issues are going to voice their opinions much louder than those that have a working tv. It's not like it has 1 or 2 stars from reviews at BestBuy, Costco, etc.

I advise not buying it if you are looking for reasons not to.

i havent looked too much into this but I was under the assumption the 77 inch comes with the qd-oled panel according to rtings...is it still a panel lottery for this size?

Pulled the trigger!! 🤞🤞🤞 EDU discount of $184.50, plus promo code from Samsung Support of $205. Traded in an old Sony LCD 52" for $150. But I paid $149.99 for Samsung VIP Advantage and $60 for white glove delivery and installation. 🙏🙏🙏 Praying the panel doesn't break after a few weeks/months.

Yup. I bought an open box at $1510 that was only missing the remote. $37 later on eBay and it's a full package. I got extremely lucky I suppose, screen is immaculate and no scratches anywhere. Just need to decide if I want to get the 5 year warranty or not.
