Not sure what you mean by "normal XM5". This actually is the normal XM5. If you're referring to the "/B" at the end, that's simply a color designation:
WH1000XM5/B = Black
WH1000XM5/L = Blue
WH1000XM5/S = Silver
WH1000XM5/P = Smoky Pink

Other than the color, all XM5 headphones are the same. If the model number begins with "WF", the same rule applies except now you're talkin' about earbuds.

Amazing headphones. I own this in blue and I also still own the WH1000XM3 which I use daily. Noise cancellation is incredible and they sound fantastic.

Bought a pair from this seller. Came in a brown box (like new condition). The best pair of headphones I have ever owned. AirPods 2 Pro and XM5 are my travel and gym companions lol

Refurbished doesn't mean refurbished. It could be repackaged new. Mine was brand new but in a brown box. There is still profit margin for Sony at this price point.

Beware—this model (XM5) suffers from poor/fragile hinge design. Multiple posts per day on Reddit of people showing their snapped or disconnected hinges. Sony does not consider this a warranty issue even though the design is flawed/overstressed.
