This is one of the worst renditions of John Barleycorn in publication. If you want to hear a good one, check out the McCalmans: https://youtu.be/8Ff6RHp2DrI

A steal at that price for a classic album. Thanks for posting this one. I grabbed a copy. I believe the only negatives is the packaging not being a gatefold like the original 1970 version and they used the wrong era of Island labels but at this price as long as it sounds good I'm happy.

Thanks O.P. in for 1. My original has been well played. Also picked up Lucinda Williams - Good Souls Better Angels for $8. Free shipping with Walmart + so $15.84. Without the plus it would have been another $7 for shipping which isn't terrible.

I love this song, it reminds me of one of my favorite films, Nirvana with Chris Lambert

Must be a generational thing. If I'm going to listen to a traditional folk song, I'd like for it to actually song like traditional folk music.

Got my copy today and it is a rare GZ Vinyl pressed record that sounds great and they give you the download code that ended up being WAV files so it is a win/win at $7. Hate that Universal stopped including download codes. It has a poster of the original gatefold inside so you at least get the missing art. The label on the record is the wrong 80's version of the Island logo instead of the pink one from 1970 but that isn't a major deal.
