Like others I saw increased prices after adding gift cards for rides and when using Uber eats gift cards you have no recourse when Uber messes up your order. I did this deal last time and they failed to deliver my order. After complaining to their customer service (terrible send a message and wait for maybe a response days later) I was told they only would offer a few bucks back instead of refunding the order. There is no phone number to call, no live chat, no human you can reach. They blame drivers and the restaurants instead of fixing any real issues.
If I had placed this order with a credit card I could have disputed the charge, but since it was a gift card Uber just kept my money.
For instance Shake Shack here currently has a BOGO free on their Smoke Shack burgers. Just now, I put those in my cart, along with fries, and it only takes the 40% discount off the fries, so about $3. Even worse, it automatically applies the promo, and I can't unchoose it. So, I'd be wasting a limited promo on a very small discount. If I choose a different burger, without BOGO, it's only a buck or two more, since the 40% promo applies to the whole order. So, I'm wasting my promo if I get the BOGO items.
I've seen similar pricing at several different restaurants with BOGO deals.
