I just got these last week. I will have to price match.

Beware, shipping to West Coast takes a whole week.

Be aware these are quite restrictive for air flow and can put extra stress on many hvac systems. The filtrete 1900 ones are supposed to be better. Filtration not quite as good, but they don't restrict the air flow the way the 2500 filters do.

I can find data that shows the 1900 has a reasonable pressure drop (Project Farm, state of California), but I can't find any measurements of the 2500 or 2200. I think 3M lists a spec somewhere, but can't find it at the moment.

Any citation for that? Project Farm tested a bunch of filters a few years ago and the 3M 1900 was one of the least restrictive because of the larger number of pleats and larger surface area of the filtration media than most of the competition. This 2500 looks to have more pleats than the 1900 does.

Once it gets dirty I could see an airflow restriction problem. Easily avoided by changing them before they get that way. I've been using the 2200s for years. I just change them every 2 months vs every three.

I think this is what I will do. I prefer to have microbial filtration.

These are excellent for building a Corsi-Rosenthal box https://corsirosenthalfoundation....tructions/

Better filtration and performance than traditional air purifiers and will cost less depending on the fan and supports you use. They are just less visually appealing. I plan on putting one where the air intake for my furnace is and use less restrictive air filters in the furnace itself to reduce the stress on it.

Basically the air handler will cavitate when the air intake becomes too restrictive. 1900 is the sweet spot. BJ's sells the 1900. Sam's sells the 1500. Costco is over their skies with these 2500 filters.
