This is true. As an owner of 13 Sonos pieces of hardware, I'd suggest holding off to see how things shake out before sinking more cash into them. It's been an ugly ride for many of us, unfortunately myself included.
I was literally in the beta for the new software. We had dozens of pretty big outstanding bugs and missing features and one day we got an email basically saying "thanks but we're done here" and it was released within a day.
Biggest gas lighting that has been going on since the start of this fiasco with sonos blaming everyone's home network

I was under the impression Sonos released a new version of their app that basically bricked everything, or at least deprecated a lot of expected features, and they have been unable to fix it. Like they fired the CEO yesterday or something over it. Not sure I'd buy anything from them until they get past this fiasco.

Personally I've never had a problem with new app.. I have ARC 2 300's sub ace and a 100 for turntable

How do these rollouts get screwed up so bad? Seems like devs are skipping testing steps and most of the time, it's pretty easy, just set up alpha and beta groups.

It seems like a mixed bag. I have a large number of Sonos products and have had zero issues.

You can also run them on Home Assistant and avoid the app altogether if you need to.

if you think it's the devs' fault you have no idea how corporate works lol. They needed the new app to support the new Sonos Ace headphones (which flopped anyways) so 100% app was rushed out before things were complete.

That's sad. I've had a Move and Move 2 for several years now and I thought it was just me that the software was horrific and never really finished. Someone needs to buy them and straighten it out. There's a lot there to work with.

Definitely as mixed bag. I haven't experienced any issues in my ecosystem of multiple amps, soundbars, and stand alone speakers. I wouldn't hesitate to add to my setup if I were in need. Anyway, this is a good deal. Thanks op!
edit: that being said, the app is not very intuitive and could use a complete revamp for usability/ux.
