I just bought an Alienware R16 Aurora and absolutely love it. It's stylish, quiet, doesn't look like it was made for a 12 year old, and runs amazing. I've built my pc's for 20 years, but this time I just wanted to buy it all together and I'm so happy I did (sorry r/pcmasterrace and r/buildapcsales). It crushes anything I throw at it. I do a mix of gaming, video editing, office work, graphic design, and media storage - flawless performance in all.

During Xmas, I bought it for $1250. I got an i7 + 4070ti Super + 27" alienware 165hz/1440p monitor on a 1000w psu. Couldn't pass it up.

I upgraded it to 64gb ddr5, added a 4tb ssd, and a 16tb hdd.

Only had it a month, but it's been a great PC, not a single issue.
No they aren't and no it won't be. Sure with 4x frames, it will be but so will the 5070. In terms of raw performance, the 5080 is going to sit between the 4080 and 4090.
This should be much cheaper with the new 5000 series nvidia cards

The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 are releasing January 30. NVidia is claiming the 5080 will be as fast as the RTX 4090. You might want to wait for the benchmarks to come out before pulling the trigger on the RTX 4090 systems and see if it might make more sense to pick up a RTX 5080 system.

Dell has never charged me a restocking fee but YMMV

But can you really trust that one??
They're one of the more reliable cashback sites. The bigger problem is that the 10% off code could invalidate the cashback from whatever portal you use. It's always in the terms that they can refuse the cashback if you use a code that isn't provided by the cashback portal. YMMV!

Also, the 14900kf is a space heater of a processor without integrated graphics and with a substantial defect that might or might not cause the processor to prematurely die. It was soundly beaten for gaming by a 7800x3d 2 years ago. Never mind the 9800x3d, which is even faster.

My feeling is, don't buy this garbage unless Amex comes out with some fantastic stackable Amex offers. The best offer I currently see is $50 off $250 on just one of my 8 different cards.

Nailed it. Nvidia overstated the performance of the 5080 during their announcement. The 4090 will easily outperform the 5080 in all significant stress tests.
