You might want to check your gog library as this was a prime gaming giveaway in April 2022. Hopefully it will save someone from buying a unneeded 2nd copy

      LOL...so which is it?

I'd honestly lean toward goolump's thought process unless you had zero interest in playing the original. The OG game prices tend to skyrocket when a remake or sequel is released. Plus sometimes they / Dev's give legacy owners perks or discounts if you own the prior version of the game (this practice is becoming less common though).

You mean like dark souls: prepare to die editions showing for $400+ on key sites? (Because it's delisted)

Typically I would side with mischelp, but in this case, goolump is correct.

Typically Microsoft will give 20%-50% off owners of older version (i.e. age of empires)

Since this deal is a steam key, buying this is equivalent to buying a xx% off code for the Oblivion remake. Slick deal!

Also, Oblivion is still a great game! (With mods)

These guys will do anything but put out ES VI, won't they? 😉 I loved playing Oblivion almost 20 years ago. I still remember getting a first day release of Skyrim on 11-11-11...never imagining it would be 15+ years before the next game in the series. I am motivated to maintain my health just so I can live long enough to play it one day (I hope!).

And I thought Spec Ops: The Line (also delisted) going from $1 to $14 was bad LMAO2

Does the pc version of oblivion support use of game controllers easily? I remember that being an issue when I thought about buying it a few years ago on PC

This probably makes me look like a jerk but I honestly don't know how to read your post. "I.e." means "that is" and narrows down your list and your list only has Age of Empires on it. Has MS historically done this with other games? If so, awesome, and you probably want to use "e.g." here to mean "for example".

Regarding i.e. vs e.g., while I agree with you I think most Americans actually get that incorrect, even ones who should have been educated otherwise.. "i.e." seems to have replaced both Latin abbreviations in colloquial usage. Between that and people using the world "literally" to mean something figurative....it literally makes my head explode Wink

Great game with a leveling system so broken it competes with FINAL FANTASY 2 for worst design decisions

Hopefully the rumored remake fixes that

This! I stood outside GameStop for a copy of Skyrim. It looks freaking amazing on the PS5 pro!

If you haven't heard of the fan/community made remake, look up SKYBLOBLIVION on YouTube. They are planning on releasing it soon.

When you say Final Fantasy 2, do you mean the Japanese FF2 or FF4?
