Why do you need to wall mount to figure out if the tv works

Purchased at this price just before Christmas. But the tv screen was busted when I opened it. I was able to work with returns and sent it back. Just got my refund yesterday and debating buying again or waiting til Superbowl and find local. Return was fairly painless. Sent pics, boxed back up, the same carrier reached out for a pickup date and they came and got it. Once they received the TV my refund was received.

Most people cannot wall mount a 65" tv by themselves. They'd be foolish to try in my opinion. The installation would then have to be scheduled which could easy go pass 2 days.

Also, issues with new televisions don't always present themselves within 48 hours.
I weep for humanity if most people can't figure out how to find a stud and drill holes.

That said, you're probably right considering the state of things.

Greentoe = product roulette. Is it really worth maybe saving a few bucks when you could end up being out a thousand?

It may not be one or two people who could not. Don't dwell on this thought :-(

1899 for the 77 inch isn't bad either. Yes brand smart had it slightly cheaper but tax brought it to about that.

Put the stand on and plug it in, wall mount it later, it's not rocket science.

Yes, closer to March/April it will drop a bit more at greentoe for sure, then closer to August stores will start clearing it out for $999 (sams, costco, bestbuy) seems like it's a pattern every year.
I agree. I missed the good deals on the C3 before Christmas, so hoping to either catch one of those or a C4 clearance.

2 days? That's not enough time for most people to get a tv of this size out of the box, tested and definitely not wall-mounted.

Just open it and plug it in.

Target usually have TV clearances on previous year TVs in March/April. Unfortunately they don't carry the higher end models in-store anymore and uses Target Partner, World Wide Stereo to sell them instead.

No LG C4 hunting at Target in-store this year, but possibly the B4s though.

The LG 83" B4 for $1,299.97 for the W. NYC Costco only though Mad

Any luck reproducing this deal? Recent TV deals from Greentoe on this site have been hit or miss. How do people find this price? Keep lowballing offers until you get one accepted? Aggressively email the site staff?

Why does it have to be mounted as part of the testing? You need more than two days to take it out of the box plug the damn thing in?
