Not sure if there is any truth to it but TP-Link is being investigated for Chinese Govt spyware. Just on that alone I would pass on anything by them.
Good price for Orbi brand

Comparing to this listed or model I think it's better to buy this one even though it's refurbished/renewed by Amazon as excellent condition for $10 more

Heard the same and it's disappointing, hopefully it gets cleared up for those with one of their products

These are great for coverage in a larger home. Only issue I've had in 4yrs is one firmware version that kept causing devices to drop the connection...it was super annoying. Once I rolled back the firmware everything has continued to be rock solid.

I have these and they have been great. Had a little bit of an issue connecting a satellite but it eventually figured it out after power cycling it a few times / resetting it. The options in the firmware seem pretty weak but I have it operating as an access point going through my old 5ghz router via ethernet (wireless turned off) that I have Fresh Tomato on which allows me a lot more options.

Orib is a brand name owned by Netgear. TP Link is a separate company and is their competitor.

Had the RBR20 and RBR50 Orbi systems units for years, until both times the main units started crapping out (would just be stuck in the booting up flashing white light of death). The main admin page would bug out. I personally went with the Asus XT9's from best buy for 181 the other day...Asus Web interface is miles ahead of Orbi, only second to Unify imo.

Good price on these units though considering there are 3 total.
