FYI Bosch owns Dremel so the chargers are interchangeable. Heck, the batteries are 95% the same. Only its plastic base is different. You can use this Dremel to dremel out its own battery base to fit it in a Bosch. No mods needed to charge.

Edit: This model has the identical battery to the newer bosch brushless 12v tools. Only the older dremel needs the modification.

20 years ago, when computer cases were mostly bland and boring, I really wanted a Dremel because case modders used it to cut their cases, add fans, make cool shapes, etc, but back then I couldn't afford it. Now that I can afford it, there are also plenty of cool cases already cut in whatever shape I could think of. But I still want a Dremel for some reason.

Thanks OP! Better than the FP deal back in October. I've been on the fence and have lots of Milwaukee M12, but jumped on this, since it has a lifetime warranty on the tool.

I am in the Dewalt ecosystem and want to add a dremel to the mix. The internet is pretty divided between this and some other variants including Milwaukee. Any opinions before I pull the trigger?

The m12 brushless makes more power than the 8250, but you wont find a deal this slick on an m12 rotary—you're looking at 2x this price with a hackable deal with battery. If I weren't already invested in m12, I'd go with the 8250. power review video

Interesting. Have you tried this specific dremel batt in bosch? Is the shaft not long enough? I thought the 8250/8260 batt fit bosch.

I have the Ryobi version that charges via USB C. Was 30usd, I absolutely love it! Could not recommend it enough, bought a $15 tool set off Amazon it's great!

Jumped on this because I've been toying with the idea of buying one for awhile.
My question is this... if I plan on using a dremel for smaller wood carving details, am I better off with a smaller model? This seems rather large (based on photos) and imagine it might be a bit heavy for steady long-time detail work. Is this model more of an all use utility model?
