Many of us have unlocked ST/TW/TF models at 60 days with only the original 30 days of paid service.
Just read any of the TF/TW/ST threads on SD in the past 3 years, you'll find plenty of actual users confirming unlock procedure.
Do your research. CS is very poorly trained & often just reads from a manual or script, they know less than most users.
FYI - my 13 unlocked just now, a day earlier than txt message said - with only the original purchased 30 day plan.
NOTE: unlock policy has changed as of 4/1/25 and now requires 60 days of paid service (30 days no longer works).

If you bought from Straight Talk website the purchased plan is applied at activation, there is no pin.
I bought from straight talk that's why I'm confused. Online activation system gives me two options: to buy a plan or to provide a PIN number
If ST website isn't accepting your IMEI/sim then you will have to contact support with your purchase information & have them activate it for you.
LMAO, we have an 8 Plus and an 11 and I still haven't seen anything compelling enough to upgrade at normal retail prices (except the 8 has 16GB storage and now iOS takes up half the phone!)
People really need to get off this entitled replacement cycle.
And I say that as an Apple shareholder. I've been capitalizing on conspicuous consumption since 2007
Awesome deal, in for two if I can make it work. Only beef for me is I prefer a 2x optical camera instead of a 0.5, but hey...
Edit: bought one 2/11 and activated in store. I couldn't confirm activation easily, so I set up an account with ST and it looks accurate. No confirmation of unlock date, so I set myself a reminder to check in 59 days. Fingers crossed!
Also, I apparently have a free month of Walmart+ as a perk, might need to finally try it out!

I will say it is system glitch
Sold along with the phone, I bought it yesterday. To be safe, I went ahead and installed the SIM and started the phone restore process just to reconfirm activation and get the phone number (since it wasn't shown in the documentation). I then wiped it again to start clean when unlocked.
I was doubtful about the process as well. I just texted unlock to the 611611, it replied with your phone is unlocked already. On the second phone I just inserted my T-Mobile Sim and it was unlocked already.
you need to read unlock policy again
