MSI is good, however I wouldn't buy a 4060. Stick with a 4070 at least, and 32 gb.

This will be fine for 1080p and some 1440p gaming. It's using the 8gb variant of the 4060ti so some newer games will have an issue there, but it really depends on what you're wanting to do/play and at what resolution. MSI is a solid company for the most part though. If at all possible a 16gb variant or the 4070 would be a better upgrade ,at an obvious increase in price, but this version will be fine for most titles at 1080p and a majority at 1440p for the time being, and even in the future just be ready to be dumped to low/medium on most everything in the future. Maybe ai frame gen will save you though.

$300 off. Descent price for a mid-range gaming rig.

Windows 11 operating system
CPU:AMD R5-8400F
GPU:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti
RAM:16GB s
Storage:1TB solid state drive (SSD)
PSU: 650 watts

Doesn't say how many sticks of RAM are used, but the motherboard has 4 slots so easy to add more RAM if needed. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-B650-VC-WIFI

Dang, as soon as you buy something Slickdeals comes up with a better product for the same price. I just bought a cyber power PC from Walmart for the same price. The Walmart PC has a slightly faster CPU, but this MSI has a better GPU. The cyber power PC has more dimms, but the mobo looks a bit janky. Also it appears the cyber power PC only has a single channel stick of ram.

I hate all the advertising jargon instead of having clear specs listed.

I was unimpressed with my 4060ti prebuilt at first but after a modest overclock/undervolt (2800MHz @ 1000v) it seems way smoother. And stays under 70c at that!

Mostly tested with Cyberpunk @ 1080p w/ DLAA Ultra, or DLSS Quality + RT or PT

Anyone have an opinion on if this would be suitable for a golf simulator?

I actually have a 4060ti. I'm able to run cyberpunk on high with ray tracing lightning at medium which gives me 122 fps. I can play marvel rivals no problem and even run forever winter with no problem. It's been great but ngl wish I found a better deal with a 4070 lol

Not a fan of the AMD AMD R5-8400F with only 16MB of L3 cache [amd.com]. This is basically the opposite of 3D V-Cache that makes AMD's X3D CPUs so good for gaming. With recent deals on a RTX 4070 pre-built for under $1000, this is a hard pass.
