Ooh, that blue with the gold trim is slick. I think if I do end up picking one of these up to replace my Sony's I'll have to wait for that one to go on sale or pick up a pair at Costco.

are these better than bose qc or sony xm4/5 or apple airpods max ?
I currently own these, Bose qc ultra, and AirPods Max. I also tried the m5. The Bose and these are very close. These are slightly heavier but sound quality was similar. Maybe slight edge to Bose. AirPods Max are extremely heavy and I didn't think were impressive outside of the styling and build quality. Sony's sound good but felt cheap and made my ears warm. Felt like silicone over my ears when I wore them and not breathable. I'd probably rank them Bose, B&W, AirPods, M5

Bought and returned to Costco 3 months ago. Multi connect works very poorly, and the firmware/software is even bugger. Like another user mentioned, they get warm and uncomfortable after a bit of wearing to boot.I'd save my money and buy different cans. I ended up trying out the AKG N9 Hybrid headphones a month ago and ended up loving them. Multi connect works astoundingly well, has a USB-C dongle that hasn't had any issues (there were firmware updates for the headphones and dongle out of the box, which were annoying to apply but great operation since), the USB-C dongle has a holster in the headphones, sound quality is fantastic (LDAC for BOTH Bluetooth connections), battery life is insane, noise cancelling works pretty well, the talk aware mode is extremely helpful/impressive, and they're pretty darn comfortable. Maybe after a few hours I need a minute break but with a big head I'm shocked how much I love these headphones.Long story short: you can do much better than the Px7 S2.
I have the N9 and agree with this! Highly recommend them over the XM4, Q45 and IPod Max. Sound quality and build is superior.

Great price for customers who had never tried bowers and Wilkins.
They make excellent headphones!!!
But at a premium well worth it price.
Please don't compare this brand to Bose, Sony nor Apple because they are all consumer designed.
However b&w are more music and studio tuned.
Just keep that in mind.
Have fun!

A firmware update for PX7 S2 just came down updating them to 3.1.0. I haven't able to find details about that yet but they were already excellent. I bought them from Costco using the $45 gift card for buying a membership. No regrets here.

I own 1 for about 6 months. It is good quality build and excellent sound. The only draw back is noise cancellation isn't good as Sony4, Sony5. and Bose QuietComfort. You can find more information on latest software update here.

Thanks for the link!

I thought reading thru reddit they were mostly talking about the Px8. I bought my Px7 S2s around Thanksgiving and haven't used them that long so I'm still in the break in period. I really didn't notice a difference after the update. I got them to use in MS teams calls. I feel the NC is adequate for my purposes. I don't like feeling encapsulated. I prefer to hear a little of whats happening around me but I do really like that people I've talked to wearing them have told me they aren't hearing any noise in the background.

Agreed- he treats his employees like he's their dad Big Grin

They were blowing $20K for me to attend this conference, so the headphones were a drop in the bucket.
Wow you are a fortunate guy who has such a great boss. Wish you two long lasting relationship and successful ventures together. Regards
