I paid $180 and was able to use HSA funds, which I have a ton of through my employer. I like it. It has actually had a substantial effect on my health because I realized how devastating alcohol was to my sleep patterns and cut it about almost entirely. Heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, etc. It doesn't replace a smart watch but it's pretty cool for sleep tracking. Not sure I would buy it if I didn't wear a wedding ring though. It replaced my wedding ring for day to day wear.
These rings were selling for $239 at Samsung in November, except for the Size 13 which is the one I needed.
It seems they will expand the sizes to include size 14 and 15 soon. Which may allow me more finger options.
For only size 13, this is $40 cheaper than the lowest price I have seen.
Galaxy Ring 2 will likely be announced today, and released within the next 5 months, sooner likely.
Possibilities for improvements, 2 more days of battery life, thinner design, better sensor arraignment for better measurements, likely the same pricing at $399. Also, supposedly more AI features.
I guess at this point in time the ring can only go down in price in the future.

Why is a smartwatch not eligible for HSA when it can do more than a ring?

They recommend you wear it on your index finger for the additional gesture controls but I found that gets in the way a lot
FYI - They are offering $250 trade in for ALL old galaxy watches on the samsung site. I feel like that is up from previous. That seems like a better deal. $50 for old watch and trade it in for $250 off.

TIL smart rings exist. Up until now, my only ring has been the one that added 20 lbs to my waist.
