This was about $6 4 years ago. This deal doesn't make a big splash but saving is saving.

This isn't bad because most containers of sardines are 3.75 ounces.

This brand smoked in evoo or with lemon in evoo is excellent. The fish are not very large and don't fill the container, like Season sardines do (hence the phrase, packed in like a can of sardines). However, they look like clean, high quality fish. βœŒοΈπŸ˜€

I get the olive oil with smoke flavor one for hubby and the dog. They love them.

I've always eaten sardines soaked in olive oil and have never tried sardines soaked in water, what is the difference in taste and texture other than the fact that sardines soaked in water contains less calories?

I definitely prefer the ones in olive oil, but when the ones in water are on sale, I'll buy.. I usually eat sardines 2 cans at a time, so I open one of the water, dump off the liquid and put the sardines in a bowl. Then I open a can in EVOO and dump it into the bowl over the others. I break them up gently into chunks and mix (don't want mush like tuna fish). I sometimes add seasonings and then just eat them like that. The ones in water do seem a little softer.
