Don't do it, there's a reason Samsung appliances are cheap.

Lots of posts to "stay away" from these, but for what it's worth I've had a Samsung dryer since 2013 that's still going strong. The only issue I've had with it is that the heating element has burnt out a couple of times. However, if you look online, this is relatively cheap part and fairly easy to fix yourself if you're at all handy at DIY (there are videos available online that literally walk you through how to replace it step-by-step. I did it in under 45 min the last time. So for the price, I'd absolutely buy this (if I needed either).

Cancelled my order in the Chicago suburbs after reading reviews. Decided it's better to spend 200 more for a more reliable washer. Not sure if it'll restock.

My Samsung washer and dryer are about 15 years old. I've only changed the washer water pump and dryer belt. I do need to change the washer shocks now.

My parents washer/dryer are over 30 years old and they haven't had to change anything.

I bought my Samsung front load 8 years ago "used". So I'm guessing my set is somewhere 10+ years old? Still running strong but of course I did change out the dryer's bearing once and the seal and bearing on the washer too.

Good deal, not availble in NY
Not really. It's a Samsung. You'll pay for it later...

Bought a Samsung washer and dryer about 10 years ago. Thankfully, I got SquareTrade warranty on them. Washer would fill up but wouldn't spin.

SquareTrade told me to contact Samsung because it was still under their 1-year warranty.

Samsung sent a repairman out and he replaced the whole system board. Twice. The third time, the SquareTrade warranty was in effect. They sent another repairman out and he replaced the whole system board again.

Not two weeks later, same issue, same repairman. He said "Samsung is good a making phones, that's it*". Then he found out Samsung discontinued the model and couldn't get parts for it so they reimbursed me for the original purchase prince and we went and bought a Whirlpool.

*a few weeks later, Samsung phones were exploding.

Confirmed. See my above TRUE STORY. Washer was just over a year old. I have not purchased a Samsung product since.

I bought a GE washer to replace my 17 years old GE. The new one did not last 4 weeks. Thank God I bought it from Lowe's excellent and fast service when it comes to return no questions asked.

My Samsungs are 12 years old and still run like new. Has quality gone down since?
Very much so. I have one that age. When it finally goes out, I'm not buying a Samsung.

I would buy at this price if i needed a new set. I have the same models just a few years older. Had only one problem with a roller in the dryer but otherwise they do work well.
