Anyone done any testing in this gen yet? Interested to see what they are like. Hoping for a TaylorMade rip off this time 😂

Man, 2,800rpm spin on a 100mph swing with 142mph ball speed would normally point to a poorly fitted driver. If the driver is otherwise fit to the person testing, then this ball is more of the same.

This is a different ball. As far as I know there has been no robot test on these v3.0 balls. What you quoted is from the Today Golfer test and many people referred to the silver box as the v3.0 which has a lot of people confused now as the new ball posted here is in a red label box and noted as v3.0.

I bought a box of these new ones yesterday and plan to test them on Trackman in a couple of weeks. The old silver box had too much spin and I'm not a high spin player. For reference my ball of choice is the TP5X and I usually see around 2500 rpm of spin with a comfortable 98mph driver swing. Also these are $27.99 in store and my store in Illinois had plenty.

Pro is long distance but con is not optimal carry distance? Poor carry distance + high spin = short ball. If this is different from what they've been selling the past year in the warehouse, I'm willing to try it. I'm guessing that was the V2? Hate that ball. spinniest ball I've ever played (I have a golf sim to crunch numbers, not just anecdotal).

Could use a reasonably priced ball for golf sim. I didn't know golf balls could just explode on impact until recently. I guess it's not reasonable for 1 ball to go through 1000 hits and not break, but it's not something you generally think about.
