Is it actually a 6650M or is it a 6600M? It says 6600M in all but basically one place on the page.

From the Spec tab on the page:

Never thought I'd see the day a Mac Mini seems priced better than something like this.

I'll be jumping on a mini pc for some docker loads, but not today.

I don't think you need a dedicated gpu for docker. This is meant for gaming, which a Mac mini isn't good for. And price this out with 2tb and 32gb ram vs a Mac mini

If Apple gets the gaming situation fixed, they'll own that market with the Mini.

Can somebody explain to me how these mini PCs are always priced so cheap for the specs they have? I always see like 200-300 dollar ones with good specs for the price that you definitely wont find in a desktop PC for the same price, is there a catch with these?

Until you hear otherwise, assume support will be poor. And not just "fix my broken machine" support. But also things like driver and firmware updates. So these companies likely save a lot of money because of this. And the end result might be the buyer saving money up front, but the end product having a shorter lifespan.

The following is my speculation...
None of this hardware costs nearly as much to make as is priced. Like medication, the investments into R&D cost a ton. But once you are into full production mode, the actual cost per unit for each of the components is low. Because of that, I believe there are multiple scenarios where it is much better for companies to overproduce instead of under-produce something. If something costs $10 to make, and they normally sell it for $100, they still make money if they offload excess for $20 a piece.

Then they will cost more. No dedicated gpu saves a lot of money

This is old now. It was 1000$ when it released. Also no ram and no ssd in this particular version. Also it's $70 off the typical price

It's because the specs listed for the price are a bit misleading through omission. It's an expired deal now, but the $489 for this was for "barebones" - where some of the necessary components, like RAM and storage, are not included. Adding those on would easily bump up total cost $200+ depending on config. This is why people justifiably argue that all-inclusive products like the M4 Mac Mini is the best deal in this category. To another responder's point, Apple has figured out a sweet spot for cost of this range due to R&D over the years - something that other companies basically redo every once in a while because their businesses aren't designed in a vertical way that Apple is.

Need one with USB-C (at least 3.2) both front and back. A little hard to find, usually only front.
