Not a good deal when this laptop is a year old in technology. Costco clearance the 18gb version for $1250.
Don't get me wrong I have a MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro with the upgraded processor and 1TB, but I got mine for $1200 as an open box at Micro Center. At $1799, it doesn't make sense when you can get the 2024 MacBook Pro 14" M4 Pro for $1699. Other than the extra 12gb RAM, the M4 Pro/24gb RAM is a clear better choice and you save $100. The MacBook Pro 14" M4 Pro have better memory bandwidth, faster SSD, brighter screen @ 1000nits for SDR and HDR, faster CPU, and GPU, better webcam, better battery, and more futureproof with TB5.

I just got this with 18gbs of ram for $1250 through Best Buy price match. Quite a price leap for 32…

This deal isn't very good at all compared to the 12cpu/16gpu/24gb/512gb M4 Pro model which frequently goes on sale for around this price or sometimes even less (it's been $1699)
And yeah, this deal looks downright terrible next to the same Costco M3 Pro but with 18GB of RAM for $1250 (you'd have to get this price matched thru Best Buy now, but still)
This is lowkey a bad deal. No offense to whoever posted it.

I was wondering that myself… All those 36gb fanboys out there I guess.
You can still get BB to price match it and it's still that same $1249 on Costco's website because that's the close-out clearance price.
It just takes some persistence. There's people who have managed to get it price matched in recent weeks. Way better deal than this, that's for sure. No way it's worth another $550+tax to get this 36GB model over that.

Not worth the time or effort! You will need to talk to 20 reps minimum before one even considers it! About 8 hours of work!

Costco and price match via BB. Good luck!

Honestly you may be right about that but this is still a "meh" deal compared to the M4 Pro model that frequently goes for $1699-$1799
