Sorry to be "that guy" but prices are actually so bad now. I tried adding code to my account, turns out I already have a 50% discount active. Made a sample cart with 2 items (~$30 total) even with 50% off, ends up $35 total (-$15 discount + $0.49 delivery + ~$19.50 of tax, service fee, Seattle $5 charge).

Used to let you stack with other coupons so I could get a decent deal that way, but looks like it invalidates promo if store offers a discount. Sad days
Thanks anyways though OP.

I don't understand why this offer is getting so much attention—I've had it in my account for over a month and I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. If you really look at it, it's not worth the hassle or the extra cost. Honestly, you're probably better off just picking up your food directly from the store. It'll save you a ton of money.

Even if you do go the delivery route, try calling the restaurant directly. They might offer you a cheaper delivery option, or at least save you from paying Uber Eats' inflated delivery fees.

To give you an example: A $15 order, minus a $6 discount, still leaves you with a delivery fee of $2.50, taxes and service fees of $7.52, plus tip. When all's said and done, you're probably paying even more than you would have if you had just picked it up in person!

Stop falling for these corporate gimmicks.

Attention probably because mods promoted it to the front page.

There was another uber deal recently Costco Uber Eats 2X$50 gift cards for $74.99 which is like 25% off if using their gift cards.

I had Doordash dashpass for a month free trial to get extra 5% off gift card deal they had in December. It removes delivery fee with certain order minimum and makes service fee like 5%. Leaving mostly the tip and increased food costs as extra cost. With promotions, it didn't seem too bad. Uber eats probably has something similar.

Costco has a 25% off Uber eat giftcard coming up. This coupon can be stacked with Uber eats gift cards AND Uber eat's restaurants' coupon. And if you spend enough like me, because I eat take out a lot, I also have the Uber one, which saved me another 5-10% on orders. It ended up adding up by a lot. The trick is to stack all your coupons and benefits on it.

What do you mean by "clawed back"? You mean they will charge the promo amount afterwards by denying the promo?

Some ppl have free membership and would rather have it delivered than having to go pick it up. How is that hard to understand? You would still have to tip ordering directly from the restaurant anyway, so mentioning that is kind of silly. Also 20-25% gift cards are available all the time from costco.

Stop falling for uhhh bad math?

It won't be clawed back. This type of promotion is periodically offered on my account. It's a normal offer.

Have no idea how people regularly order from these services. I always see it 100% more when you consider marked up food, service fees, delivery, tip. Wild how many people hate driving.
Added $25 of food (normally $20 at store) Got $10 off with promo and still $4 more (before tip) then going to store with 40% off coupon.
Was hoping it would work on pick up but it did not.

i agree... but we life in a society of increasing convenience, and time is money. you could be doing something else, or nothing... while food arrives to you. paying for time. not always, but sometimes. that's how i see it pan out so far.

also we've gotten accustomed to dealing with soggy steamed delivery food items.
