I posted a message on this laptop a few days back - I Ultimately returned this laptop. From my experience, the build quality is pretty good and battery life is great. The screen did look a little off to me for some reason and I couldn't figure out exactly what's off about it. Here are some of the outstanding issues it has, FYI:

1 – Power On. Sometimes it works with 1 press. Sometimes it works with 2 or 3 or 4 presses. Sometimes if I press it once, it will turn on right away. Sometimes I press it once and wait maybe 10 seconds it will eventually come on. Not sure what the problem is.

2 – Audio crackling noise while on battery power. You can google this and see other people with the same problem but no solutions. Some suggested installing drivers from 2019, which I don't want to do. The audio doesn't have random crackling noise while plugged in, but if I'm on battery power, the speakers, wired and wireless headphones will all have random crackling noises. It's because of the power savings on the Realtek driver and there's no way to disable that with the new Realtek control panel (according to Asus tech support). Maybe there will be a software update... eventually...

3 – External monitor via USB C / Thunderbolt – If I attach an external monitor via the Thunderbolt USB-C port, it won't get recognized. It gives a device error and won't recognize the monitor at all. The same monitor / cable works with my gaming laptop and also works with a friend's Macbook Pro. This seems to be an Asus issue as you can google it and find plenty of people having this problem. No solutions found, although the external monitor works with an Asus X13 from 2022 via the non-Thunderbolt USB C port.

4 - Asus proprietary power charging - I have an Anker 67W PD charger but the laptop sees it as a "slow" charger and won't charge fast. It recommends the 65W PD charger that came with the laptop which obnoxiously doesn't have folding power prongs. Seems like Asus pulled an Apple and want people to buy their proprietary charging bricks. Somebody mentioned it might've been my Anker charger but I'm going to guess no based on Asus's track record.

5 - I hate the keyboard - it's nice to type on but you can hardly see the keys under many conditions. You can't see the keys during the day or in a bright room with the backlights turned on. You can barely make out the keys at night with a light either with the backlight on or off. Apparently this is a common complaint on the Asus Vivobook series.

6 - Mine was silver but I read a lot of complaints about finger print magnet on the black version.

7 - Case is VERY difficult to open to upgrade - the center has a glued screw cover - WHY? - hard to get off without scratching the whole thing.
be aware walmart has better warranty since you could register it at asus website to get complimentary ADP, but bestbuy models are excluded for some reason.
Extremely low? Nope. It's a 14" laptop. People are so stupid regarding resolution. It is 60hz but it's a great display for $800 with the specs. Like, unbeatable.

This seems like a good deal if you're looking for a thin-and-light with 32GB of RAM. As far as I've seen, deals on Lunar Lake laptops are still thin on the ground.

Compared with the recent $600-650 Best Buy deal, this has a 258v, Arc 140v graphics, and 32GB vs. 226v, 130v, and 16GB in the lower spec model. Storage is 1TB vs 512GB.

I assume this should have similarly great battery life when you're not using the full power of the CPU. The OLED panel is attractive in person; if it had 120Hz refresh and a touchscreen, this would cost (and be worth) over $1000 easily.

Zenbook models will likely feel a bit more quality and are more likely to have a touchscreen, but a lot of them are still Core 14th gen or Meteor Lake (Ultra Series 1) and thus have significantly worse battery life.

you can definitely see the difference between 1080p and 1440p+ at 14 inches
