It's more Erythritol than actual Monk Fruit.

I think you may have confused Erythritol with Xylitol. Xylitol is poisonous to dogs, not Erythritol.
It's sugar alcohol.

Which they don't have to label as added sugar, because of a loophole in labeling requirements.

But it is a sugar nonetheless, and will spike blood sugar. Marketing scam to fool you into thinking this is somehow healthier than sugar.

Best thing for coffee/tea drinkers is to slowly wean yourself off adding sugar over a few months. Use less and less until you drink your coffee/tea without sweeteners.

We switched to allulose for our sweet tea and coffee. Can't tell the difference from sugar, and it doesn't spike blood levels like most other sugar replacements. A little costly but well worth it for us.

Erythritol was recently linked to increased risk of heart attack and stroke. It lowers the threshold of platelet activation in the body, essentially does the opposite of what aspirin does. This only happens when there are high levels of it in the blood, so if you aren't using it frequently, then it shouldn't be an issue (hopefully).

Imagine not needing to check the ingredient list & nutritional facts of every single food item you purchase because food manufacturers will lie (do creative advertising) for $'s.
The main ingredient is erythritol, not monk fruit.

I'm really sick of this marketing tactic. If it's 70% Erythritol and 30% Monk Fruit, don't be calling it Monk Fruit Sweetener!

Erythritol seems to be ok in small quantities but if you have too much it will jack up your stomach.

Erythritol destroys bacteria on the teeth and gums in the first few seconds before enzymes neutralize it. In reasonable quantities it's actually a good replacement for fluoride.

It's funny the moaning about this sweetener, but if you are wise you would understand Erythritol has it's place for oral health, and Stevia is the only alkaline sweetener with no effect on your glycemic system. I have better things to accomplish than preach these things, but read more and speak less.

That would be a colossal waste of money because you could never in a million years win. It's fun I guess to dream about the big guy getting screwed and money falling into your pockets, but it's nonsense and you should find better things to do with the limited time you have alive.

The right way to do monk fruit is to get the little bottle with the extract and add a drop or two as needed. Don't get the powders - you always need a substrate and it's a sugar alcohol and sometimes worse, it's dextrose (which they can label as 0g if it's <5g per serving, and they lost a teaspoon as a serving)
