Solid read. (it's Sanderson) but not Cosmere connected. Totally worth 2$

I listened to this book on audible, it was pretty good so I read the other two, but when the main story ended before the fourth book, well now I haven't felt like I wanted to read the fourth one. Whenever I go on a long car trip, I really like having an engrossing story to keep me alert. Works much better than anything else except for maybe an energy drink. Guess I'll read it next time I have to drive

Looks like the audiobook is $4 if you buy the Kindle version: $6 total. That's alright for an audiobook.

Excellent book. I read it a long time ago, so details are a bit hazy, but if I'm not mistaken, the first book is quite self contained. The story does continue after book 1 but it wraps but the first book's main plot line within that book itself, which I appreciated. The series itself is excellent and immensely enjoyable. Fantasy action with a touch of romance. The only minor gripe that I remember was that the ending of the series in the last book seemed rushed. It's like Sanderson just wanted to be done with it and move onto his next project. This was a common complaint of the series, but not to the extent that it'll detract from the overall experience.

This series is on the list of books that I've forgotten almost everything about; just have a vague recollection of the central premise, but the minutiae of the plot are lost to me. But I remember enjoying reading it so much, that I'll read it again at some point. Kinda like rewatching a movie that you know you liked, but don't remember it scene by scene; So you end up enjoying a rewatch quite a bit.
