About a year ago it was on sell for $1200 so may be not a great deal but if you are looking for inverter generator right now to buy then may be it's a good deal.

I'm a little concerned about it being open frame. It's quite loud. If I had to buy again, I'd probably buy a closed frame inverter. I'm considering just buying a backup, smaller, closed frame inverter anyways. Compared to the cost of a Generac install, it's not that much to have a backup-backup generator!
In an emergency, I really only need heat/AC. At least then I wouldn't have to evacuate. Not sure what size generator I need for just the AC with soft start...
