You need to check out a youtube channel called Yasuhiro TV. He makes an assortment of router jigs that do amazing things.

I've built shelves, a rolling workbench, a fence, a gate, drainage, a patio step, a small platform, and a low, flat cart for drywall, mostly out of salvaged materials. I've also done a bit of electrical and plumbing. In various projects, I've used everything from an SDS-Max hammer drill to a belt sander. I've just never found a use for my router.

Thanks! I could actually do that on the undersides of shelving. Could give it a softer look. Not sure how it would go with plywood, but worth a good.

I'm just a simple DIY guy. I don't do any particular woodworking. Should I have a router on hand? It's always been in the back of my head but I don't necessarily recall ever needing one yet.
