Add ability to block Slickdeals Scout

Slickdeals Scout tends to flood my for you section anytime I search up a new item on Slickdeals. The posts generally have little to no engagement, and aren't that relevant after I have done my search.

Can the ability to block it be added?

The October post announcing the bot said the ability to block would be available, but that is not the case. "In fact, you can toggle between viewing and hiding Slickdeals Scout deals to match your preference."

Slickdeals Scout is absolutely awful - worst thing I've seen SD do at this point. My inbox is getting so many things that are not deals and not stuff that matches my alerts. We need to have the ability to turn those posts off.

I just got 14 email alerts for the same Slickdeals Scout deal post in the last six minutes.

Make that 16 total since I started typing this post.

EDIT: 55 and still going

You can turn off the emails, thankfully. At the bottom of the email click manage alert and at the bottom of the page is slickdeal scout. I kept getting like 10 of each deal and none of the deals were good. My sanity can't keep the alerts turned on for the hope of an actual good deal.

Thank you for this. Just got like 100 emails of the same deal by Scout. SD need to turn this bot off until they can test it more. That's ridiculous.

I'm at 191 and counting. Part of me wants to turn it off, other part wants to see how many they'll ultimately send me.

when did you receive the most recent one? it's my understanding that they finally were able to squash this glitch but if not they may need a heads up

Just saw this. It stopped at 1253AM Thursday morning after 248. I just got the apology email from SD for the glitch.

EVERY post scrolling across the site are from this bot for Christmas junk. Comments won't post and the thumbs down will not stick. How long is this garbage going to be an experiment before it's removed from the site?

At this point it is almost comical. I click on one post to check out the comments on a utility cart, BOOM, half the Just For You section updates later to be filled with utility carts, all posted by Slickdeals Scout, all with zero comments, all with zero votes, and all seem to have Price Drop with an arrow in the thumbnail. The Price Drop overlay in the thumbnail is new and at least makes it easier to tell it's a Slickdeals Scout post at a glance.

It is to the point that I have changed my default page to be the Frontpage instead of For You on mobile and I find myself not clicking on as many posts for fear that it will make the algorithm Slickdeals Scout uses to flood my feed with junk I don't actually want.

As enjoyable as the comments tend to be when the barrel of lube is posted, I fear what Slickdeals Scout will start surfacing for me if I decide to get a chuckle from the comments.
