Popeye's vs. KFC? There is no comparison.

Tenders are a good deal, but do know that the 6pc wings regularly go BOGO on Uber Eats (and maybe other platforms) so they're actually cheaper there.

But at least the chicken on the bone has to be chicken. What are you getting with tenders and boneless? Binding agents and filler?
Found the person who's never ordered tenders or boneless wings from Popeyes. They are white meat chicken, not chicken McNuggets. Proof being the excellent blackened tenders.

White and dark is where the meat is from. It has nothing to do with what binds the chicken. No chicken is able to be molded like a tender or like a ball without binders and fillers. Also, you would have to think they would be losing money if they use all of the quality meat on a chicken to make the tenders and boneless wings. This is how they can sell the boneless wings cheaper than bone in wings. Tenders tend to have more chicken, but also are bound and molded.

What are you on about? I make homemade tenders from breast meat all the time (well a few times a year). It is not about molding a shape, it's about cutting it. The tenders aren't a prescribed shape. If you ever ordered them you'd know. Sometimes you get small ones. Sometimes bigger. Sometimes it has the actual connective tissue intact. It's cut up breast meat.

Have you ever eaten Popeyes tenders? They are strips of full breast meat. Not ground up meat like a nugget. And it is far more meat compared to Popeyes wing, which are very small. They are good but small.

What are you on about? You are making chicken strips not tenders if you are just cutting up breast meat. Chicken tenderloins come from a specific muscle nearest the rib cage. You only get 2 per chicken. The word tender is so misused....

You are wrong...There are only 2 tenderloins per chicken...and you don't "make" them...

Yes. They taste like they have filler, kind of like Raising Cane's tenders. They flop around. Because of these experiences (no matter where the tender is from), I always get bone in wings, if anything. No more tenders, nuggets, boneless anything. Lol.

So knowing that, would you think they would actually give all the meat off the two tenderloins? They would be losing money per chicken. This is why they have to fill in a lot of their chicken meat so that way they can use up those two tenderloins across like 10 customers or so.
I doubt they are tenderloins.I don't eat popeyes anymore. When they first opened up, their chicken was good. Now it seems they are getting their chicken from engineered super chickens as some of the pieces are too large to be natural...

In my local restaurant, you can literally see them preparing the meat. They cut up the breast there, brine them, dredge and fry them. It's literally just strips of cut up chicken breast.

Bare chicken fingers are much cheaper and healthier at coatco. 25 minutes in the oven or a few in microwave.
