its the standard 250 nits display(45% NTSC) you see in cheap laptops. its at least IPS and so not as terrible as laptops with TN displays. You can add a 8GB DDR4 dimm available for 12 bucks at amazon and you get a usable laptop. 12th gen Alder lake has good performance for use for browsing etc.
Problem is hinge and so you have to handle these with care.

Whether you get this model or a different Dell model, you should try to use the 10% coupon from Dell. I created a few email accounts in Nov and signed up with Dell for those.
And Dell gave me $15 for each account I signed up. There aren't too many items for sale with less than $15, however.

Those 10% coupon from Dec 2024: Offer valid through: 2/24/2025
The $15 expires on March 15, 2025.

Thank you - I signed up - 10% should give you $25 and with some Cashback sites you can get another up to 10%.
Honestly I am surprised this is not getting more traction. Brand new laptop with i3 12th gen, with IPS from a reputable manufacturer is not bad.
