This looks like a nice build. I jumped in their promo on 4 of 12.8v 280Ah batteries before which will have the same output as this. With the batteries and other materials: cart, board, cables, circuit breakers, fuse, crimper tools, and etc, it was close to $2000 after tax. So with a few hundreds more, you save the headaches of add the 4 batteries in serial.

Each of the 4 batteries is about 60lb. So the whole setup after completion (inverter included)will be about 260-280 lb, mounting on a Costco Trinity cart with wheels for mobility.

Is this better than the eBay deal from last week? This still needs an inverter to power a home, right?

Yes, this device outputs DC power and would require an appropriately sized inverter to power a home.

Yes, you still need a good inverter to convert to 120V. IMO this is a better deal because most of the wiring is done internally. Downside it's very heavy.

So to convert to 240v would be even more?

Buy 3 of their 48v 100ah battery.
It's cheaper, more capacity and more versatile.

If you are serious considering getting off grid battery setup, get this one if you don't want to mess with wiring and can deal with the heavy weight. (It can be rolled around anyway).

Otherwise, getting a few of the individual batteries on eBay when they are on sale is always cheaper. And I highly recommend that you get the batteries with Bluetooth so you can monitor battery health easily. Another advantage of parallel/serial battery setup is that you can easily replace any battery if it has gone bad prematurely.

His review didn't make a lot of sense and I commented on it.
He keep harping how only 3 of the 4 hit 100ah and the 4th one missed it by .05%.
And keeps on saying "if you don't mind losing 5%" then its a good battery.
I mean ECO W promised a 100ah, they didn't promise 105ah last I looked.
If all of the other 100ah rack battery are getting 105ah, then praise them, not penalize Eco W.
Anyway, just wait till Ebay has another 20%, you can get it below $800.

I don't see the advantage of this big battery vs a 100ah.
I mean what wiring are we really messing with ?? Eco Already included the wires and it simple parallel wiring.
The rack 100ah batteries are more versatile.

Yeah, I just watched that review before seeing this post. He was kind of all over the place on them not being perfect like other brands. The savings alone is enough to not make me care if they're not quite perfect.

He actually said the build quality was very good.
He had problems with the temperature sensors but they worked perfect.
He just kept going on and on about the capacity but 3 of the 4 hit the advertised 100ah capacity and the 4th one missed it like .05%. I mean literally it was 99.60.
I've seen other capacity tests and they were easily over 100ah.
I think the problem is that Eco didn't do a good job of balancing these cells and therefore some of them fell a little short of 100ah.
It's like he was expecting a 105ah battery.
