Because a bulb-style camera for under $15 that doesn't need for-pay services to record and can also do rtsp seems pretty decent to me.

And yes, this isn't going to be as good as a normal light bulb, but that shouldn't surprise anyone. It's not really meant to be, it just conveniently fits in the same locations and offers some minimal replacement of that functionality.
