For security cameras and dash cameras which are constantly writing to the SD card you actually want to invest in an SD card that is marked Endurance. Such as a Samsung Endurance SD card.
It's not to say that this will not work, but it will corrupt very quickly.

Good deal but wouldn't these systems benefit from a bigger capacity?

Anyone have an opinion on if this would be good in a security camera like tapo?

I've never heard of this brand. I usually stick with Sandisk, PNY, Lexar, or Samsung.

Just my experience - about 3 years I hung a few Wyze cams and picked up cheapy Microcenter brand sd cards (ie: no name, not premium class or anything) from Amazon. They have been running 24 hour recording since.

But my cameras aren't really crucial for security, so I was willing to accept the risk of using a card not necessarily designed for 24/7 recording.

TeamGroup's been around awhile, since the late 90's. I've done some RMA's for their memory modules and it's been pretty easy, only problem is they only have support via e-mail so if you need to call someone for tech support, you're SOL.

I use these cards for my Tapo outdoor cams. 2k hdr and get 2.5 weeks of continuous recording. I've used them for a little more than a year without any issue.

Switch games tend to be smaller so you can actually fit a bunch of games on 256GB.

PC games are bigger particularly AAA titles but you can still fit a handful of games on 256GB. I have Witcher 3, FF7 Remake, Crisis Core and a couple of smaller games on a 256GB Samsung Pro+.

Well the description in the OP says "this microSDXC memory card is designed for 4K high resolution video, continuous shooting + great for Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, ROG Ally and more". Plus, the post directly above yours seems to indicate that the answr is "yes"
