Method: Best Buy chat for MRX33LL model.
Info provided to rep: Shared the 18974 zip code for the Buck County, PA location which shows the $999 price and in stock (even though it's not near me).
Result: They were only able to price match to $1083 before tax.
Other attempts:
I asked about why they can't match to $999 and said it was the lowest price allowed for this item.
I also asked if I could get a price match/refund upon pickup to match the price shown and they said no (but I will try anyway).
Worst case, if I decide I'm stubborn about not getting the absolute best price that some of you got, I'll just return it.
While I was chatting with them to get the corrected I asked why the previous rep couldn't price match to the $999 and after a little bit of back and forth, they issued me a refund for the difference!
This will make my son's day as he's been asking for a Macbook for weeks at a price he could afford (he can't really afford this but I'll put him on a payment plan!)
