Greentoe has been around for a long time. Not shady in the least.
Greentoe is not the seller but a middle man. They work with legit sellers to facilitate the deal. You actually get the product from different sellers depending on who accepted your offer. I bought my 82" Samsung along with a bunch of electronics in the past 5 years, and one time I had an issue with shipping GT actually took care of the issue by contacting the seller on behalf of me. I would definitely buy through them if the price is right.
i have 5 tvs from greentoe, they legit

Forgive me if this was said somewhere, if so, I didn't see it. How do we know this is the lowest they will take for the 83"?
Per the product page:

You name the price you want to pay for a product.

We send your offer to a network of Certified Retailers.

If the retailer likes your offer you get that price for the product.

OP put in a price, or possibly multiple prices, and $2,750 was the price that the seller on the other end accepted.

Sorry, I know how Greentoe works. I know OP offered $2750 and they accepted it.

OP didn't state if he tried lower than that and I haven't seen anyone else say what they tried, either.

Perhaps they will accept $2600, as an example. Just because they accepted $2750 doesn't mean they won't accept lower, potentially. Trying to find that sweet spot.

You can always place a bid and see if anyone ( resellers registered with GT ) bite. Usually the ' acceptance meter ' they show is a fair indicator of the probability.

I bought an 83" Sony Oled 2 years ago via Greentoe. $4,900, Perfect transaction. No complaints...
Crazy that an 83" OLED has almost halved in price in 2 years. Makes it so hard to pull the trigger on a size upgrade since I already have a 65". I wonder if I wait another 2 years if a 100" OLED will be $3k…

Lowest I offered was $2600. I raised it to $2750 after lowest counteroffer from a retailer was $2995. Then $2750 was accepted.

Never trust greentoe, most of these are fake shilled deals.
The three times I've used them, they've been fine. New items from authorized sellers.

The only issue is you don't get to pick the seller, and with a TV that limits your options if you want an extended warranty.

If you don't plan on buying an extended warranty I think they're 100% good to go.

I agree, the 77" is a great bargain. But I've already had the 77" c8 for 6yrs and wanted to size up since we use our TV a lot. Plus if you got the money, why not? Smilie
Yes, upgrading to the same size does not make sense.

Why stop there? In another 4 years you could get the 100" even cheaper. Then wait another 4 years and the 110" might be close to that price, etc. But then you have been watching your 65" TV for over 7 years.
If you want to get a new TV, get the biggest and best TV you can afford and find the best deal on SD.

You can't get a primo warranty like BB and usually not the vendor's. But they have a CPS with Burn in option when you put the order or offer in. And think you can add it on with them within 30 days of order maybe as well?

Greentoe is not a vendor. They're a deal aggregator. You're getting a TV from an authorized brand dealer through them.

Shadier than BB? Because in the last two years I've received a brick (actual brick), and an empty box. . .both should have had a Galaxy Ultra in them. And it happened both times on their dock, not after with FedEx. And a Sonos Move that they refused to refund OR complete delivery.

So what's your beef with GT? Bad graphics on website?
