The few times that has happened, it's either because we're in a major sale period (such as Black Friday or pre-Christmas), or the game has not done as well as some may expect.

Bad writing, aesthetics, tone, etc. Not as good is quality as previous DA games. The result of the poor reception caused EA to reorganize Bioware.
Unlikely that we will ever get another DA game due to this one, so yes you can say Veilguard killed the franchise.

Cons. - The writing. It truly is awful. I'm not joking when I say a significant amount of the character interactions felt like sesame street lessons in tone and execution. Really bad. The final act is the only part I enjoyed on that front.
At this price I definitely think it is a good pick up unless you get triggered by trans issues because one character is non-binary.
