Agreed, desterpot is got screwed on the S25 post and now this post. Just add Costco to this title and you'll get 50 upvotes!

The Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 is a solid mid-tier phone, great for free and no plan change. I am using a bottom of the barrel Tracfone Moto G Play 2023 with Brotato, Duolingo, and Newpipe. This Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 should handle mid-tier games. Debloat the T-mobile and Moto apps to make it run faster.

My only hesitation is with the Walmart cellular employees. Are these the same contractors that have to be chased down for Straight Talk deals at Walmart?
Why no love for moto edge 2024? 2022 is a pretty good phone

I don't think this deal deserves this many downvotes. If you plan to stick with T-Mobile for two more years and aren't planning to get a flagship phone on a payment plan on the line, these are pretty much free phones, and November's post for a $150 Moto G Stylus with AT&T add-a-line was positively received.

That said, two best choices from the lineup are the Moto G Stylus 2024 and the Galaxy A16. The Stylus is equipped with 8GB of RAM, which is very helpful at this point in time, but Motorola/Lenovo won't support it with future updates. So its maybe not the best for long-term usage if you're going to be entering in banking/personal information. On the other hand, Samsung is promising six years of updates with the A16, but it only has 4 GB of RAM. All of these phones are extremely slow, low-end devices, pretty comparable performance-wise with flagships from 2016, but they should be okay for very casual users who just watch videos and use messaging/social media.
Agreed but no one has tried it yet

So, basically, 24month bonding for a garbage phone selection.
Remember, you can't even payoff anymore.(You are literally financing an overpriced device over 24months credits)

What if you were bonded anyway? Like with a super good plan

Is this still a bad deal

Then, it is a good deal tbh. I am with them since 2007 myself. It is just that they supposedly wanted to become "Un-Carrier" and kept bashing others and then, slowly but surely reverted back to becoming the same old carrier. Perhaps worse than others considering Verizon, ATT often have great deals from 3rd party vendors like Walmart and BestBuy. But T-Mobile not longer have such deals either b/c they broke their contract with BB.

Tbh that bothers me not at all as long as they do not touch my plan. I still have a few installments left from the edge 2022. Will they allow another installment to start? Maybe a question for customer service

In the promotion term and condition, you can only have one promo per line of service. So you'll lose out on the Edge 2022, if you start a new one.

Its fine since doesn't seem to require a add a line which is rare. Many of us are on legacy plans and are with T-Mobile for life until they screw us.

The phones are good for a spare, old person, small kids, just to use for a specific task.

When did you start that eip? I THINK if it was before June or July 2024, you can pay it off early and still get the credit.
Don't quote me on that though, read some info on it

You can have more than one EIP on the same line. I have 2 EIP on the same line with the Edge 2022 currently

Seems like the only extra cost is $10 new SIM fee. No DCC. Read the comment though, some failures as well, like certain plans don't show up on Walmart's system.

Yeah, I don't want to spend a day driving to different Walmarts. Might just trade in my old Moto at a local T-Mobile store to get the Moto G Stylus.
