Of course I hesitate to buy one every year... Finally buy it. And THEN they upgrade the design so that the arms act as a cover.
I'm still holding out for a Blackstone because of the rear grease trap. That way you don't lose any cooking area to the grease hole. I've looked at this at Sam's every time I go and it seems built well.

Are these any good? Are they comparable to Blackstone?

I got one last year $150 but paid $50 from Amazon for a cover. Would love this one tho!

The rear trap is great for surface area, however with a hard cover the trap can get water. pushing grease into the trap with a little water in it, I have had it spatter all over behind and on the ground in back of grill. My next I will switch to a front trap. Either way, these and black stones are just great

Are there any features this is missing that others have? considering a 2-in-one grill/griddle instead

That's a great point you make about the grease trap. Thanks for the reply and good information.

You can get a piece that has the grease trap funnel into a covered bucket. Helps with splashing and don't really have to worry about overfilling it during a cook

Might or should be able to convert to NG for any wondering.

but now I do regret not getting the MM pro series 5 burner griddle for the extra $25 ($200) late last year .

I'm only seeing SD posts that those were down to $299, not $200. I still think I'll wait for them to come back in stock.

I was going between this and a blackstone and ended up getting a blackstone because of the new omnivore griddle with great heat spread on the cooktop and the rear grease trap. The trap on this one is too tiny, and it's so nice to be able to push the grease and junk away from you with a scraper tool. It would be so awkward to have to drag the grease to the front and try to push it in that little hole.

Having had a Blackstone and use others, it's really not "that" much better because the grease trap hangs off the back and splashes out the back. I prefer the ones on the front corner because you typically aren't cooking there anyways and it's enclosed.

Yeah… made a deal with the wife if I got rid of the old OG blackstone, and the gas grill we never use I could get the Pro, then it went OOS… so now all I have is my pellet smoker 🤣
