That was a (no longer available) one-off from a pawnshop in NYC! 😂

I used this model to help me measure while putting up crown molding (obviously precision is important here), and it worked great! Very accurate.

I do a lot of kitchen measurements so I use this everyday. Great tool and accurate. One issue I have with it is that it will error out of nowhere but if you wait a few secs it goes away. But it makes up with accuracy and ease of use.

In for one. There's another brand on Amazon with 25k reviews and more features, but I opted for this one as it seemed of a higher quality and no fuss.

Thanks, got one for $28 from a seller with 99% rating on over 10,000 feedback and with CB from credit card that covers the sales tax. The cheaper one charges shipping and you really have to read carefully what the listing is for. The $24.97 listing is selling a case.

Does it account for the size of the device when measuring? Like in the photos it shows it is on the window sill, does it count the length of the device in the measurement? How does it do it?

Yes it accounts for the length of the device in the measurement shown on the screen.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

We use Bosch laser measurers at my work. Over a dozen issued across the company. Each has had to be replaced prematurely. Common defects include mis-calibration (one out of five will measure over/under 1/8 compared to all others) and screens not working. I have had two become non-functional shortly after the expiration of the warranty.

We are moving to Leica after four+ years and multiple very big sales being mis-measured due to these. If the stakes are low and you feel like taking your chances feel free, but if anything serious depends on these working properly I suggest you consider alternatives.

I bought this a few months ago on a similar deal level. Used it to build in place a few walls in my basement due to size constraints of building on floor. Accurate and worked flawlessly for about 50 studs, far easier than trying to use a tape on a 10' vertical. Worth the $. No issues so far.

The same. I lost mine (someone borrowed it....), and used a measuring tape like a degenerate and my god it quickly made me realize how much I miss the laser tape.

I can't express how useful it is measuring 12-25ft spans. Just plop it on a wall, click save, look at the number and write it down, plot on another wall, save, write the number, you made a cut list in no time.
