I am not a coffee expert... I'm a simple guy that drinks a cup or two each morning.
Most coffee is "fine", and sometimes it's "really good".
I purchased this stuff a couple months ago because it was organic, and at a good price, and unfortunately, I thought it was downright dreadful... which is very rare for me to experience in coffee.
I've been using Kicking Horse Kick Ass forever for my espressos. It's my favorite but it is a strong coffee because of the roast, also, it's an oily bean which might mean cleaning your grinder more often. I have the Breville pro grinder.
We have a local company here that has really good coffee.. but it's 3x the price I'm willing to pay. Pete's, Starbucks, Aldi are my usual coffee and it's all fine, not great.

Just my 2 cents.
As a reference point, what coffee do you think is good?

There's not really specific coffee made for espresso, it's really up to personal taste. Some coffee beans will be marketed as "espresso beans" but all coffee is the same it's just differently roasted
My personal preference is I like medium roast for espresso. I think it gives a nicer taste. Some prefer dark roast for espresso for stronger taste
But I've never actually had this specific coffee. So, sorry if I'm giving unwanted info ๐

Funny, my daughter recently asked me for recommendations on coffee beans because she didn't think the Costco brand was that good so I gave her some of my Kicking Horse Kick Ass and she loved it. So I guess it depends on personal taste. The Kick Ass is also an oilier bean so grind settings make a difference.
