Bought these knives about a month ago and they are already covered in rust spots. Not worth the $20 I spent on them. The rubber utensils are okay though.

If they're anything like the pioneer woman set I got a few years ago, these are amazing to buy and throw right into the garbage. No need to even open them. I got tetanus just looking at them.

Great deal. I'm throwing away my Shun knives as I type this.
I marvel at 1,400 5 Star reviews for knives of this quality.
Maybe they are worth the price if you are cutting weed eater string, or clothesline rope , but to have an expectation of longevity in the kitchen would be absurd

Need all these knives and only have $20? Sure.
Not sure what knife you need but need one for cooking?
Go to the restaurant supply store and buy a chef knife for $20.
If money wasn't a problem you would want to buy a nice set of knives and this wouldn't be the same conversation.

That is the overall context herel

Not so sure why everyone is talking these down. I've had one of these 8" blades for over 4 years now and sure it's not as sharp as it once was, but for what it set me back, ($14) it has been an absolute charm. It's got a weighted handle and some nice patterns. Guaranteed not one person in these forums is Gordon Ramsay or even at Salt Baes level so I am willing to bet this is a great set for most of you naysayers. In for one. Great find OP.

Even better, just take a $20 bill and throw it into the fire place.

Maybe youre a young couple with no family to speak of and just got stationed 2300 miles away from anyone you know. Maybe you haven't found work yet and your husband is about to deploy and money is so tight you sleep on an air bed.
Would then the knife steel be suitable for you? Maybe I should just play the lottery with the 20 bucks to afford some knives of heirloom quality.

Hilarious that 5* Michelin awarded chefs are weighing in on a $20 set of knives on a deals forum.

~75% off for a product that many people can use, that is properly listed, and not YMMV, is more times than not, a good deal. I'm certain that people would be equally interested in a similar deal for a set of always sharp knives forged by orcs in a volcano worth passing down for dozens of generations. Please post one of those if you see it, it will get the upvotes.

EDIT: NM, just realized this set did not come with a dedicated diamond fused knife for cutting broccoli. The hate probably makes more sense.
