There is no EIP with Metro by T-Mobile. When you purchase the tablet and activate a new tablet line for on a $20 rate plan, you receive an instant rebate for the full price of the tablet. If you drop your service after the first month, you walk away with the tablet free and clear. It's not a 24-month installment plan like with T-Mobile, where you would end up paying for the remaining balance in the EIP if you leave early.

I have a Metro phone here that is deactivated. What's the lowest level plan to activate it on for a month to be able to get this deal?

Got one at this price in December, fantastic for the price. Very happy using it for various apps and reading (I don't play games on it), wasn't expecting it to compare to an ipad.

In the last thred - this seams to be an avoided question -

But some would like to know if you have phone lines with t-moble - as offer is on T-mobile as well - and you port out the Tablet number - do they still apply the credits because you still have active T-moble lines with them?

(info from site > If you cancel entire account before receiving 24 bill credits, credits stop and balance on required finance agreement is due (e.g., $276 - Samsung Tab A9+ 5G). Bill credits end if you pay off device early. Tax on pre-credit price due at sale. Limited-time offer; subject to change. Qualifying credit & new mobile internet line (2GB or higher) service required. If you have cancelled mobile internet lines in past 90 days, you may need to reactivate them first. $35 device connection charge due at sale. $276 via bill credits; line with promo must be active and in good standing to receive credits; allow 2 bill cycles. May not be combinable with some offers or discounts.)

Call in and get the $25 BYOD plan, then add two tablets online.

Dang, I'm not an existing customer on Metro... but am on T-mobile.
Been thinking of getting out of T-mobile to US Mobile though.
Seems like Metro has some good existing customer discounts though..
